wow. i haven't posted in this thing in ages. ANYWAY.
so quick update on life i guess.
2nd year of college whoohoo~
taking...english comp 3, japanese 4, korean 1 this quarter.
Japanese is great, it's getting harder obviously, but i just study a lot =-='
Korean. This class. is killing me. It's only like the 3rd week but I just...can't pronounce the sounds for the life of me. and I DON'T UNDERSTAND why but korean vocab KILLS me. Japanes vocab took like me like maybe an hr or so to learn the chapter's vocab...but korean. D:
they don't stick for some reason. I had an easier time remembering my chinese than korean, which is ridiculous.
i dunno. it's not like the grammar's hard, i mean common it's korean 1 =-=' but not being able to pronounce anything and tripping over sounds and blanking out makes my confidence level drop like a rock. Not that it wasn't already really low anyway....
I think the amount of studying I do for my languages is ridiculous. I want to be really fluid in japanese, but I don't actually physically talk that much except in class and repeating to myself when I'm studying. Basically the theory kinda falls apart when faced with real-world situations. もっと日本語を話すと、上手になる。。。はずです。But I really don't have any faith in my ability....lol <___<
But. yea. studying for japanese and korean has taken over my life. And yet I don't feel like i'm really learning anything...not by any fault of my teachers...just that i fail TT________TT and things don't stick. *sigh*
