After a few days...I finally finished the con report. Although I'm not entirely sure if everythings correct. I think i have a few song order mixed up and stuff.
I got there at 6:30, and there was the whole NO CAMERAS, NO WATER, NO FOOD (they didn’t even let you bring in your own water bottles…cheap butts D: )And I was waiting in line for buying concert goods and stuff.
Apparently reading around some forums, the US Customs computers crashed, so they couldn’t get the goods to the venue in time. The goods were in the US a week before the concert, but because of crashing computers, they couldn’t get them to the concert in time. *sigh* They’ll be available Jan 5th, and $20 for shipping, which is a little ridiculous, but my college is close enough that I can just go there to pick up my stuff. I think they REALLY jacked up the prices for some things tho =____=’
I got to my seat and was pretty happy about where I sat XD But I was a little annoyed, because it was 7:30, but it didn’t start until 8.

First song was黃金甲. All the dancers were dressed up like his outfit in ‘Curse of the Golden Flower’ He had like ten bajillion feathers in the back of his costume, and his hair was really….high up. He looked like a rooster LOL. It was gross XD. Two members of NQMM were on stage too; they played the electric guitar :D
The second song he had a slight costume change. i.e. he took off the giant feather jacket of doom. Now he’s wearing a nice black leather jacket. But his hair’s still gross XD
The third song was 不能说的秘密. He went to go change and came back wearing a pink jacket XD
Fourth song he didn’t go change; he sang 退後.
Fifth song he went to change, and there were CLOWNS THAT CAME OOOOOUT XDDDDD He sang 聽媽媽的話
And next is the infamous cowboy song XD It was cute. I guess I kinda like it now. Oh. No wardrobe change. They had the dancers in the back doing square dancing.
And then he disappeared and reappeared with the pianooooo~ and I was super really OMGGGGG happy because the piano was on my side of the stage XD (oh and he changed again…into a sorta shiny black suit)

The first song he played was 黑色幽默. And then he talked a little about how the next song was usually played on the guitar, and not the piano, but he always likes trying new things and change things, so he wanted to try this song on the piano.
So the eighth song was 夜曲. It sounded absolutely awesome. I didn’t realize it wasn’t played on the piano usually until he started playing it. Haha. This is probably my favorite song off Nov Chopin, so it made me happy :D
Ninth Song was 安靜.
And then Jay disappeared, and there was this little story playing on the screen. SO SILLY. So YuHao of NQMM is on the screen, and he’s watching clips of Jay dancing with the..er…’big’ lady from the cowboy song music video. And he goes on and on about ‘why is it always you, jay, that takes away my love’ and like…how when he composes something, jay does it better, and all this stuff about ‘well so what if you can do this and that?’（for example, the nunchucks and they have a mock battle on the screen where jay punches YH away, and he’s like flailing XD ） And at the end he’s like “Big lady”‘你等着。 我会尝你回来的.
And so, YH rises up onto the stage….PLAYING PIANO….DUNDUNDUUUUN
IT’S THE PIANO BATTLE SCENE FROM THE MOVIE ‘SECRET’.
Jay comes up too….YH has a black piano and is wearing black, and jay has a
white piano, but he’s still wearing the black outfit from earlier. And then the
pianos go back down, but they come back up and have a rapping battle XD it’s
cute.
After that they go backstage, and they set up for a Er Hu http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erhu ) player. It’s kinda funny bc from where I’m sitting I can see the guy behind her constantly putting up pages of her music, and then taking it down again to put up the next few sheets, and he’s like kneeling and pressing his chest to his knees so people can’t see him…poor guy XD. (yup she was on our side of the stage :D )
The lady finished playing, and then Jay comes out with his dancers….the girls are in a really skimpy red thing…and the guys are wearing white. And holding HUGE FANS XD. Jay’s in a nice white outfit complete with hat :D. They’re these huge white fluffy Las Vegas-esque fans :D Jay sang 千里之外. And then there’s this dancing portion(like in the MV, using the music from 紅模仿), and Jay disappears. The pretty red girls come out to the audience (there was one that danced about 3 rows down from me) and start dancing….a few of them that go to the front rows start dancing with random men. HAHAHAHAHA. They’re really quite skinny >< But then again with their whole midriff showing, they can’t exactly be pudgy =_=’
And then Jay appeared again, still wearing the white outfit. He sang 菊花台.
And then dancers appeared! And they did 本草綱目. There’s that one part of the song where there’s that boooing~~ booing~~ noise, and in the MV the little kids are hopping around like evil spirit things. Jay does it too XD It’s so cute. And Jay danced very nicely. :) not a lot because of his back problem, but he did well XD and he did some breakdancing too :D
And THEN. The dancers left, and two other dancers dressed up like santa claus(but totally too skinny XD ) come out and jay does some pop-lock-ing with them :D
Then, the guest singers, which should come as no surprise as being NQMM, come out and they sing two songs. THEY’RE ALL SO WONDERFUL AND CUTE AND HOT AND GWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. Even lara. Haha . If I could ‘have’ her, whereas the guys would be my boyfriend XD, she’d be my sister :D. They’re really awesome…They sang two songs ^^ And now I need to go find all the NQMM songs there are. Gwah I love all of them XD.
Lara said some things about how it made her really happy that all of us were spending xmas eve with them and jay chou and how it makes her happy to see so many of us there because LA is her hometown and such. The other three looked a little lost when she started talking, because she was speaking in English XD but gwah they’re all so <3.
I need to find some Nan Quan Ma Ma songs…..anybody got some for me? XD I know they only have like four albums…
Then Jay Chou came back out and sang 迷迭香.
And then he disappeared again, and this time appeared with like ten bajillion other people, i.e. like6 other people. Two guitarists(one of whom was one of the members of NQMM) a pianist(nqmm) another singer(nqmm)
First off, they sang “Silent Night” in Chinese. Then Jay sang 青花瓷. And then LOL. jay introduced themembers of nqmm again, and was kinda mean about the last one….he was like…he can’t really play an instrument…or sing all THAT well…but he tries very hard. HAHA SO MEAN XD
And so they do a remix version of 忍者(or maybe it’s 雙截棍? Gwah I can’t remember…I need to check over my vids XD ). They were saying how a lot of people know the song of course, but it hasn’t really been played/sang/done to its full potential during concerts, and people don’t completely appreciate/enjoy/get? The song kinda thing. The guitarist nqmm tried a certain version, and then Jay was like do you like that version or the original? And everyone was like “the original!!!’ haha poor guy. And then of course jay does a remix his way and everyone loves it XD. I didn’t care either way ( I thought both of them were weird honestly) but it was cool hearing it.
AND THEN. He was like “what do you guys want to hear?” and of course we yell out like 230593804598 things XD. And then these two girls walk up to the stage with this huge bouquet of flowers. And Jay’s like “eh? 有两个拉美”(hot girls)[I don’t think I have the right ‘la’ ] and they gave him the bouquet and shook hands with him. GWAAAAAAAH. *is ridiculously jealous * and so he asked them what they wanted to hear, and they chose this really old song…that was dedicated to all the moms in the audience and stuff. And he said something about like “and for those people who aren’t mothers…” and I couldn’t catch it, but it was apparently funny. Haha. But omg. So they started singing it, and all of a sudden Jay’s like “That mom looks like she knows it, do you know it?” and she really did…the singing member of nqmm gave her the mike and she sang the song. I was like woooow~. He really is a very filial son <3 That was a really cool part of the show tho :D
And then they sang 陽光宅男(with all the members of NQMM) and HOMG HE CAME DOWN THE STAIRS. A;SLKHA;SLDKFJA;KJF. When he was coming down people were FREAKING OUT. And I of course freaked out too XD. He came down the stairs on the side of the stage closet to me, and I was like A;SLDGKHA;SDKFJA;LKJF.(yes I did run XD ) I was two feet from jay Chou…I have a blurry picture to prove it. HOMG. Aaaaaaah love him <3 I wished I had touched him LOL but it’s okay.
And that was supposed to be the end, and some people actually started to leave….HELLO IT’S CALLED ENCORES!!!!!
He did霍元甲 and開不了口(?) I’m not sure about kai bu liao ko because I KNOW for sure he did that one because he had the audience sing along, but I don’t remember if it was an encore song or not.
And then he disappeared, and people thought it was really over, because the lights turned on, but I DIDN’T LEAVE XD. I was like. Pft. He’s not done. He usually does at least five encore songs before really finishing. And they haven’t started taking down the equipment yet. But nope. He CAME BACK.
It was awesome; he played 髮如雪 on the Gu Zheng~ Aaah Jay you’re so cool <3
Oh and somewhere in here the blackhaired member(I think the one who plays guitar? Gah I need to learn their names..i only know yu hao and lara XD oh well. 50% done XD ) and lara sang a duet of wu ding, which sounded awesome and made me like the song again…I actually kinda dislike that song…not really sure why.
I think I’m missing an encore song, but I can’t place what it would be….
Oh and I can’t remember which songs this happened in…but he had nunchucks and he threw them into the audience when he was done. HOMG. And he threw his fan from 霍元甲 I believe(he did this really cool twirling thing with it before he threw it…gah wished I had caught it on cam) and in one of the earlier songs he was playing with a Chinese yo yo(very weird btw..the yoyo was neon pink and the rope for it was neon green. But I guess it had to look flashy/noticeable under the concert lights) and he threw the pink yoyo into the audience at the end of the song. and at the very end of the con(don’t remember if this was b4 encores or not)HE THREW HIS FREAKING JACKET INTO THE AUDIENCE. OHA;SLDFNAS;GLASKDHV;ANSLDGIAHS;LDFKA;NASDH
That jacket. Oh my. But it’s okay :D I’m really happy.
Personal thoughts:
I’m a little sad that Jay couldn’t go all out on this
concert. For one thing, the stage isn’t that big, and there isn’t much he can
work with. For another thing, he was sick :( His voice sounded a little
nasally, but he tried his best :)
Being my first Jay concert, I can’t really say if it was “bad” in any way, but
I was a little surprised and sad that he didn’t sing 我不配. And
the concert was too short I thought. But I don’t think it was entirely his
fault; encores for Jay usually go on for a while, but he probably just wasn’t
up to it because he was sick and didn’t want to strain himself too much.
I remember this one song, he tried to breakdance(tried to do a freeze like this
one http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/04/51189164_3cc8f04821_o.jpg)
, and kiinda did it, but I guess his back
wasn’t up to it, so he stopped. This concert was worth the trekking and the
figuring out busses and the walking and the plane ride that sucked and the
MONEY. IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH ALL THE MONEY SPENT ON IT. I WILL NEVER. EVER.
REGRET. THIS. EVER.

because it's too hard to go forward and the rain makes everything standstill.

I do not believe I have ever felt this excited for winter break. Now one part of it is obv. the fact that I haven't been living at home, so it is nearly time for
THESUPERBIGWARMWONDERFULBEDOFMINE
and being home. and eating. actual FOOD.
I will never ever get tired of the fact that I will have actual food to eat at home. Especially since the rice here....sucks. I don't think it's jasmine rice, which is what I eat at home, but besides that.....they cook it weeeeeeeeeeeeird ;____;
It's so chunky and hardish and NOT RICE ;____; But I deal with it of course, because rice is rice...I feel like I'm eatting fattening rice, tho, if there is sucha thing =___='
Speaking of jasmine rice, Steve said I actually eat "expensive rice" and am thus spoiled in the rice department. Don't you guys eat jasmine rice? What other types of rice do asian people eat? o_O Rissa is confused. XD
Also, I do believe this is the first time in a VERY long time that I've had a REAL winter break. I think it is the lamest thing in the world that finals at northgate were like two weeks after winter break...I remember for the past four years, I was always doing SOME sort of studying during break.
But now we're really, truly DONE!!!!! It's a very nice feeling :) And this time it's for three weeks! I like to round, and say it might as well be a month :D Waaaaah~ a whole month of being at home <3
I cannot wait to see everyone again :D and have parties and have sleepovers and watch movies, and it's all just gonna be wonderfulicious.
...................cept there is this matter of christmas shopping....hmmmmmm......
I actually do have work of sorts over winter break though...haha..only because Rissa is crazy. Let's list them! XD

And there's like so many other things I need to do, but the writing and the translating is especially important....lol i think in all that may be more than 3 hours of videos to translate XD
The writing is just important to me, because I need to write and I feel accomplished even if I only get about a paragraph out. Plus two of those stories have been LOOOONG in the making and planning....one of them I haven't updated in a little over a year :x
